My yoga journey and starting where you are

I never planned to start a yoga practice. Years ago, I took a beginner ballet class surrounded by kids, hoping to build flexibility before trying again. Spoiler alert: I never went back to ballet! My first yoga class hooked me with the perfect mix of challenge for my body and mind. I originally showed up just to work out, but it didn’t take long to realize yoga is about so much more. Three years later, I found myself in my first 200-hour teacher training, and I haven’t looked back since.

Now, as a single mom working full-time in tech, I know how hard it is to squeeze self-care into a packed schedule. That’s why I focus on creating short, approachable yoga classes designed for absolute beginners. My goal is to help you build a practice that fits into your busy life, improves your mobility, relieves stress, and makes you feel good in your own skin.

I get it if you're just here for the physical benefits—that’s exactly how I started! While many teachers believe yoga should always include philosophy and history (and I have my own personal study off the mat), I think it’s okay to focus on what resonates with you right now. Everyone’s journey is different, and I’m here to support yours, wherever you’re starting from. Whether it’s your first time on the mat or you’re ready to explore deeper aspects of yoga and wellness, you’ve got this—and I’m here to help!
